Nicola Cooper: Artist/Papermaker Welcome to my online studio. I am an Artist/Papermaker residing in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada. You can view my vibrant, textural, handmade paper collage originals on this site! I live in Campbell River on Vancouver Island.  I am exploring the use of new techniques and media.  I received a LOOK 2005 Award by the Greater Victoria Community Arts Council and since then I have experimented with mono-type print-making.  Prior to 2003 I was living and working in London, England. My work was well received there and you can read about some of my solo and group exhibitions, and new techniques that I have now incorporated, on the What's New page. Recently I collaborated with Singer/Songwriter Kenneth Paul Cooper on the 2010 HeArt Calendar and CD project.  Learn more about this exciting package on the What's New page and view some images on Gallery 4. What's New

My work Au Naturel was recognized with a Practising Artists' Award by the Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria at the LOOK 2005 show. This piece sold to a private collector in Victoria in January of 2006.

My most recent show is at the DRAW GALLERY on Quadra Island as part of the 3rd Annual Small Works Exhibition for the month of December.  All pieces are under $100.00 and can be seen at the Gallery located in the Quadra Island Village Square (250.285.2008) between 12 noon and 6 pm Thursday to Saturday.

I had a very successful showing at the Dogwood Dental Clinic in Campbell River, from July to September 2009. This was a very well received exhibition and I will be planning more shows in my new hometown.
